Join the City of Malden and Malden’s Disability Commission for the Second Annual Flag Raising Ceremony in recognition of Disability Pride Month!
*The colors of the Disability Pride flag, designed by Ann Magill, each represent a different type of disability:
-red for physical disabilities
-gold for neurodivergence
-white for invisible and undiagnosed disabilities
-blue for emotional and psychiatric disabilities -green for sensory disabilities
The black background represents the mourning and rage over the historic and ongoing injustices faced by the disability community, as well as the resilience and strength of those who fight for disability rights.*
