Nicole Simon from the Lurie Center for Autism will discuss challenging behaviors which can lead to safety concerns for individuals with autism, their siblings, their parents, and community members. This workshop will focus on proactive strategies to address safety at home, in the car, and in the community. She will also discuss how to develop a safety plan to help manage crisis situations.

Nicole Simon is a behavior analyst with over 25 years of experience using the applied behavior analysis (ABA) framework to care for children and adults with autism spectrum and related disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions and severe challenging behaviors in home, school, residential, hospital and community settings. She has a Master of Education from Harvard University Graduate School of Education specializing in Risk and Prevention.
