This “deep dive” will review “Dunn’s Model of Sensory Processing”. We will discuss questions such as “What is sensory processing?” and “What is my sensory processing style?”. This workshop will guide AANE participants in identifying and understanding their personal sensory needs and develop methods to meet those needs. We will review sensory based strategies (such as weighted blankets, fidgets, music, and different clothing types) to help you feel more comfortable and focused throughout the day. This deep dive will discuss all senses including “hidden” senses such as the vestibular sense, proprioception, interoception, and synesthesia.
