For students on IEPs, that path requires intentional planning and targeted skill-building.
Newton SEPAC is offering a free virtual event for focused on what transition planning really means, how family and student rights fit into the process, and practical ways to build independence and self-determination skills that support adult success.
Kelley Challen from Challen Transitions will present on:

β’ Why skill-building is just as important as academic readiness
β’ Everyday ways families can support transition planning at home
The presentation is FREE and open to Massachusetts families, educators, and community members.
